The Wellness Check Story
I’m Ken. As a traveler, I’ve visited many wonderful places around the world. However, my mind was always wondering ‘what if something happened?’ How will my family know? I found that I was texting all the time just to ensure my friends and family that I’m okay. Sometimes I found it challenging when moving around and the different time zones didn’t help. That’s when I thought, “There has to be a better way to automate this routine update”. I need an app that would handle the Check-In process for me!
The Journey
From a Simple Thought to a Powerful App: Automating Peace of Mind
This spark of an idea soon turned into a passionate discussion with a close friend, Lucas, a cybersecurity and blockchain expert, with an incredible talent for turning concepts into reality.
I shared my vision for an app that could subtly and automatically share check-in status, bringing peace of mind to loved ones without the need for constant manual communication. Lucas immediately loved the idea, recognizing its immense potential and the deeper implications for families, caregivers, and anyone living independently.
This wasn’t just about reducing text messages anymore. It was about creating a new paradigm for how we stay connected while maintaining our autonomy. This is about solving a real-world problem for countless people.
From that conversation, Wellness Check began to take shape. We combined our unique skills and experiences, fueled by a shared desire to create something genuinely helpful. We envisioned an app that prioritized both connection and privacy, empowering users to share their well-being effortlessly.
